Born in 1987 in Tokyo. Yoichi Ochiai is a media artist and an assistant professor at Tsukuba University since 2015. He has a Ph.D. in interdisciplinary information studies from the University of Tokyo. His work employs an original mix of analogue and digital technology to demonstrate new relationships between humans and computers. His awards include the Innovative Technologies Prize from METI and the World Technology Award from Fortune. In addition to educational outreach through lecturing and research, he also partners with artists and corporations to create new projects and exhibits.
