Kyota Takahashi

Born in 1970 in Kyoto. Kyota Takahashi graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts Graduate School with a master’s degree in sculpture in 1995. His light and video projections, installations and performances have been staged in Japan and internationally, and his large-scale lighting projects transforming architecture such as Tokyo Station, Nijo Castle in Kyoto, and Towada Art Center dynamically fuse shapes with video and light. He has also created major participatory art projects, including “Yume no Tane Project,” “Hikari no Mi,” “Hikari no Hanabata,” and “Glow with City Project.”
